Arguably the most important city in America, defining an entire Western culture through film, and art. It is also the probable location of the first great riot over oil prices, with a cost of living within the top 10% of the United States average, the near necessity of owning a car to commute, and the startling divide between rich and poor, Los Angeles will feel much deeper than most cities the effects of rising oil prices.
